    Spinn Tex stuff sack?

Just made a stuff sack for my down quilt with Ayce's, er... Thru-hiker.com, kit of Premium 0.7 oz SpinnTex Fabric ("SpinnTex is a premium ultralite silicone impregnated ripstop").

Man this stuff is thin! and lightweight! and... white, and slippery!!!

    Will it hold up?

Anybody have any trail experience with a stuff sack of Spinn Tex?

I followed the instructions, except that I made a rolled seam everywhere.

ps. my "Red River George" underquilt, 1.5 pounds with 15 oz of down, 2.5+" of loft, fits into the "standard' ayce 26x21" sack with room to spare.

I like it. Is your name George?

Yup, Spinntex is derived from sailcloth, ie spinnaker (hence the name), and uses polyester (lower stretch than nylon, especially when wet) instead of standard nylon.

What's strange is, I had assumed the Mountain Laurel Designs was using the same stuff that Thru-Hiker sells, but MLD has it listed as nylon instead of poly.
