i believe the nylon ripstop, with the "Blackout coating" is close to 4oz per square yard. and their webbing is nylon. so not good for hammocking, but other outdoor stuff its great.

I make tactical military gear, and use DIY tactical for almost everything. The prices are good, the service is excellent! Not much there would be considered "ultralight friendly", though!

    Not affiliated, just satisfied.

Not coated. Besides not looking coated, they tell you if it is.

I have some of that. It ended up being 1.1 oz instead of the 1.5oz advertised. It is really a quality fabric. I used it for the 2nd layer on my bridge hammock and I think I am going to use it for a 1/2 UQ also.

Would be o.k if it was 1.1 oz.
I'm gonna use it as a top cover for my bridge hammock.
