I have a nx 250 that is my regular every night hammock, love it.
I have a gathered end dl made by ox gear, love it, very comfy.
I have a warbonnet ridge runner, will try it out tonight for the first time.
None of these are considered as light weight, but all are quality sleeping hammocks. You may want something a bit lighter weight for a thru on the AT, but comfort does count for something. Try to try out several different hammocks if possible, some just seem to fit and some just never do seem to fit.

    new nx250

New nx250 here. Love it. Quality is awesome. Have replaced the stock suspension with amsteel whoopies. Much better now. Great lay pretty much flat and side or back or combination. Really doesn't matter.

When I read old4hats first post on this thread, I had to check his name twice to be sure that I hadn't written it. My experience has been exactly the same as his. In fact, my height, weight, and age are about the same, as well.

I love my nx 250 for its comfort and versatility. It lives in a lazy slug tube, uses webbing and buckles and sets up in 2 or 3 minutes. It's not the lightest but it gives me a great night's sleep.

I have an NX-250 and hang with my feet higher than my head. I find laying straight very comfortable with just enough of a curve to relax my back yet when I lay on a diagonal I can sleep comfortably on my side laying flat.
