As for sewing, go slow. I seam to get tired of sewing at some point and speed up, or overestimate my ability to mess something up. This usually results in me having to redo something.
I just got some SMC rings from REI - and I didn't have to pay shipping!!

Yeah, I called the outfitters close to me and they did not know what I was talking about. They have climbing stuff there. I think I should have went there and asked. Over the phone it is easier to say no than go find the answer.

Some of us don't have an REI close.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Both my local outfitters carry the Omega Pacific rings:

I just got the SMC ones from REI because they're cheaper and lighter.

Haha...I usually UNDERestimate my ability to screw things up. I'm pretty good at it, actually...

Yeah I guess I men underestimate (I have trouble with that English stuff from time to time). I can usually screw something up pretty good. But on a positive note I am getting pretty good about covering up my mistakes.

One way or another things usually work out, or I consider them a first attempt learning experience.
