Putting the water bottle in the snow to keep it from freezing is a tip I sure want to try.
You sure have some beautiful country to hike in. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I had my doubts on the water bottle due to not being buried very deep but it did work.

    Thanks for comments

Thanks for the excellent trip report and video. Looks like a beautiful place to hike. Your neck gaiter / buff / hat was neat.

I was out snowshoeing today and gear testing. I took my hammock for a short hang as well. I'm working on a video for it now.
    Take care,

What are the odds of seeing a packed size of the TQ? Or did I miss it in the video somewhere?

    Nice report.

Was Savage Falls flowing much at all, or was it pretty much frozen over?

Enjoyable read and very informative videos!

I'd like to hike/hang in that area sometime. Looks like a beautiful place indeed.

Thanks for taking us along, via video.

I used it as a face mask at night in addition to the above uses. This will go with me every trip

The water was flowing fairly well. In the slower parts ice was on top of water

Pics of TQ in stuff sack. The TQ is not fully compressed in the first pic. Second pic shows how much more it can be compressed. I like letting it form to other items in pack instead of being fully compressed in the stuff sack

Beautiful. Thanks for that. It was COLD Friday night at Montgomery Bell, and I would have loved to have had a UQ/TQ instead of the pad and bag. Leigh will be hearing from me very soon. Hopefully within the week.
