I skateboarded for 16 years. I have broken over 30 bones (I stopped counting). Currently I have a stress fracture in my foot from not having proper shoes. One foot is bigger than the other, because of braking it too many times. I have a pinky that appears to be shorter than the other (it is really that the metacarpal is bent). Scars galore. I have had 7 staples in my head (someone hit me with a skateboard on accident). Stitches from being stabbed in the face (by my brother). And who knows what else. I am broken. It hurts to get out of bed, but

I didn't even think of a hammock until Chantelle was complaining that the ground is too hard. I used to sleep on cement, so I was not too concerned. Any way, hammocks will allow me to rest better and then I can get more miles.

Our leisure time was interrupted by a call to General Quarters, a drill, thank goodness. As we left our berthing area, I stuffed a cookie into my mouth and took a quick drink of Coke, which fizzed up and drippled out of my mouth in a rather disgusting foam. One of my teammates said, "D@#^, man you look like that dog Hooch in the movie!". The name stuck. For some reason, that teammate and I are still the best of friends, even the godfathers of each other's sons. The name has been with me since. It's ok, though, he asked me to give him a trail name for our section hike on the AT in June. Hence, a legend is born: Short Bus!
That has to be one of those trail names I would rather not get.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

I've had it for 18 years now, I think I can live with it.

He was referring to short bus. I believe that is why it was in bold.
