hope you're not planing to use this as your primary bottom insulation PLUQ'S are usualy only good to 45 degrees you may need to add a couple layers of IX or reflectix.

Do you think a PLUQ, windshield reflector-type cover, and sleeping bag should work? I did fine in spring & summer, so I'm new to winter hammock camping. Thanks for the input BTW.

remember this is a car camping trip so u can bring anything u need to keep warm, that being said a pluq and 1 or 2 layers of reflectix plus warm clothes should work just fine.

Its sort of car camping.. you do have a 1/2 mile hike in to camp.
There are lots of ways to supplement insulation to get into colder weather.
Show what you have and we can see what we can do to get you there.

You can convert a sleeping bag into a quilt or wrap it fully around your hammock.
You can make a tent that surrounds your hammock, Add a Sleeping pad,
You can get the Arrowhead synthetic quilts that are not all that expensive.
    And many other ways.
