You can't leave cars at the Mountain Crossings store - it's for customers. The Byron Reese public parking lot is 1/4 mi away on 129, but it maxes out on weekends; Vogel state park's not too far away.
From the outfitter's, the trail up Blood is steep but the views on a clear day are good. North toward Low Gap is more gradual.
Ill be at Panther Creek Falls this weekend so it's a no go for me. Where is that at?

Big Cedar is a little over a mile AT north of Woody Gap - between Dahlonega and Suches. Often referred to as Preachers Rock. Two overlooks, the second one further on the trail has good places to hang and is much less windy. Its on a blue blaze as the AT starts decending.
