Cold & Bright Over-Night in the Piney Woods of Minnesota

MAN! Minnesota winters aren't for wimps. Looks like a great rig for conditions I will likely never see around here in Tennessee unless I live on Roan High Knob (6286 ft) all winter. Then I might get snow like that a week or so each January/February. Maybe.

That night was a beautiful night. I was lucky enough to rent the ENTIRE Banning State Park for only $16. No one else in the park but a friend and I. With the moon close to being full there was no need for headlamps while snowshoeing. Very dream like to walk along the trails at night, although the shadows start to play games with your mind at times. We left the tarp in the Snake Skins so we could watch the moon travel across the sky. I'm glad others got out to enjoy the beautiful Minnesota winter night.
Thank you Shug for being a role model. You have impacted more lives than you know. keep up the great work.

Nice report Shug. I've had trouble with my UQ sagging as well, will have to do HappyCamper's mod to add some shock cord for even more tweaking. Thanks for the report and all the "Noob" videos. Glad you're having fun with it!

Yeah ... would not want those worms in there.....!!!!
I added tabs on the side of my Winter Yeti and will hook shock-cord to the ridgeline. Just a hook so I can get it off easy.
Do not want a CB in serious cold ....... goes right through ya'. Do not want a pad under me .... a sure fix but I will resist.

Would it make a difference if the pad was inside the yeti but outside the hammock, or inside the hammock with you?
