    Disposable Chopsticks

I found out the funny way that those cheap chopsticks they give you in Asian restaurants are not strong enough for toggles. First outing with my new lite owl and whoopie slings and I thought it might work for the suspension. Good thing there was a nice layer of snow for my landing! One of them broke right in half. Maybe the nicer ones would work...

Are you sure the whoopie sling was on the knot? It would seem to me those chopsticks can withstand the compression of the MSH.

Yes, I made sure the slings were on the knots. Maybe that chopstick had some crack in it or something to begin with...I thought it would work too.

Get the ones made from bamboo. those are a lot more durable than the ones cut from pine. i don't recommend it but while you have a soft landing...

Those disposable chopsticks are pretty small and a bit flimsy. If your going to go to the trouble of taking something with you why not use doweling or arrow shaft pieces other wise you could just use a stick at the hang site. Just a thought.

Hahaha, don't feel bad, I fell twice before finding thick enough twigs when I forgot the dowels a few years ago. No snow that time, at least the landing was soft...er

Yes, they almost kicked me out, but I ordered another round of sake shots and all was good.
