I did too, the middle of the tarp has a grommet with a guyout tab and I ran the ridgeline through the grommet as a runner (with no tension) so it stays in place, and then used the guyout to attach to the figure 9's. I obviously haven't testing in the wind.

Oldgringo, how long have you had yours and has it seen some bad weather?

I've only had it for a short while, and no, no bad wx.

There has been plenty of discussion on this tarp, and other than its weight, I don't recall anyone having anything bad to say about it.

    Hey Guys,
I ordered and received one of these:

    http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c....aspx?a=524744

and am very happy with it.
I tried to order a second one this morning and it is listed as "Sold Out".
From your experience, do they eventually restock or is this the end of this particular product?

If I can't secure another new one....I would be interested in buying a slightly used one if someone here wanted to sell one...

    Thanks,
    Darrel

    Hey Beast,
I see that you purchased the "first one" and I was wondering what color it is ?
These are still in stock but are listed as being White.

The second one that I ordered was also listed as being White but in actuality it is a very light olive with a gold undertone.. certainly not white.

I would try one of the first ones if it wasn't White and if you all thought it was a good trap overall.

    Thanks,
    Darrel

I suggest that you go back to the SG site and try to order one of the other tarps. I think that they are all sold out. When you go to checkout, you may get some info on when they will be back in stock. I think that it will be March. This is all second hand info.

They were sold out on the 12 x 12 diamond tarps for months last winter, and they eventually restocked. The 9 x 9's, and the camo versions have never come back.

    Hey Pedro,
    Thanks!
I just wrote an e-mail to them asking if they intend to restock and if so when we could expect to see more..
I will share what I learn if they in fact get back with me.

    Cheers,
    Darrel

    Darrel:
The "Diamond" SG 12X12 tarp is more of a white/gray color. I have both and just set up the tan "Square" SG 12X12 in a modified Baker's configuration and all I can say is what a difference it made over my Clark XL tarp. Like you I was on the way to order another Diamond tarp and saw they were out of stock, I have to have atleast one more like you. I hope that they come back into stock soon.

The "first one" is white with a touch of grey. I think that it is a better made tarp than the 2nd one but, the tie out arn't quite right for use as a winter tarp without modification. It is fine to pitch on the diagonal as is.
