For those that lay lefty in a righty, or vice versa, do you seem cramped against the shelf at all? I'm planning on setting mine up this weekend, so I'll give it a shot, but I'm curious on the consensus.

The shelf is really close to your face but itīs depending on if you have anything in it.

I also had som problems getting comfortable laying to the right in my bb.

Now Iīve ordered a mirror XLC(custom 1.9SL multicam lefty)

Canīt wait to not have the shelf in my face while laying to the left and getting to use the footbox

Anyone else lay the "wrong" direction in WBBB?

My foot end is always a few inches higher, I have no clue what it could be.. I'm going to see if I can afford an XLC and see which I like better and sell the other.

Shug- I knew you layed lefty, I was hoping there was a few more of us haha

Marwood- I tried it that way too once for a few minutes and was actually really comfy, never tried it for long though. Let us know how the test hang goes! I might need to set up my blackbird too...

Widdors- I never felt cramped and I had my phone and stuff in the shelf and it wasn't even staked out. In fact I feel like the bugnet gets in my face more when it's not staked out and I lay with my feet the "right" way. Test it out!

Viking- the weird thing is in my other regular gathered end hammock I prefer my feet to the left! So it's not that I just prefer to lay to the left i just seem to get some calf pressure when my feet are in the footbox. I have no clue what it is, I'm hoping the XLC won't give me this problem.

(Not really sure how to do multi quote on tappatalk. If there is a way can someone let me know how???)

I used to have the same problem in a Hennessy Asym. Turns out the problem was how much sag and what angles I had going. Now I find myself able to go either side, and either with or against the Asym direction...though its a longer and flatter bed if I go with the designer's choice.

My advice is to pick up a Snipe. It cures what ails ya.

Re: Anyone else lay the "wrong" direction in WBBB?

I'm laying in the blackbird now. Maybe its because I'm 6'2", but I really am only comfortable the "right" direction. Granted, I have a lot of stuff in the shelf, but it is staked out. I just don't feel like there is enough room without my feet in the foot box. I also tried with my had in the foot box, just too much fabric in my face. I'll just count it as lucky that I fit the way Brandon designed it, although I was looking forward to some other options.

I also could not fit laying to the left in my blackbird, but now I have a mirror xlc and I love it.

Shug lays the "wrong" way I believe. I remember him saying something like that in his review of the bb

I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.
