850 fill down karo step quilt from $155

Saw this on BPL and thought that the HF folks might be interested. enLIGHTened Equipment is trying to clear out some 2nd quality 1.1 nylon material and they are selling new quilts for a really great price.

I have no affiliation, don't own any of their gear, but have seen a bunch of positive reviews of their gear in the past. The photo may be an old one, because it shows blue, but the material is supposed to be olive.

    http://www.enlightenedequipment.com/revelationx.htm

The REVELATION X is just like or standard model except that we our using the last of our 1.1oz ripstop 2nds that we use for prototyping and passing along a huge savings to you! This material is a DWR treated Olive Green 1.1oz nylon ripstop. The only flaw is two grey lines running down the middle. We are offering these at a huge discount because we want everyone to try one of our quilts and at this price how can you not!

The Revelation is a 850fill power down quilt with all of our standard features. The nylon shell and liner are great for warmer temps where the VB affect of the Epiphany is harder to manage. This quilt is also great for users that don't like the sometimes clammy feel of vapor barriers. Unlike our Epiphany line of quilts you can wear your insulating clothes under these quilts without fear of getting wet from condensation.

Is this a sewn through quilt you think?

They say the DWR wont condensate...hummm...not in my experience.

I had the same question so I emailed Tim. These quilts are not sewn through - there is mesh between the layers.

The web page goes into more details on the materials and construction used than more-frequently named makers here (Before heaping love or abuse: Is that statement factually false?)

Tim Marshall has a good deal to say there, and more of what he thinks his gear does can be found by searching archives here for posts from Marshall194.

Could finding out more be easier than clicking? http://www.enlightenedequipment.com/

No ownership, no financial interest; just spent some time there and here reading. High information content.

He also announced his sale under "other vendors".

    +1 to that
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Who would be more likely to say so, and with less evidence? Maybe, even without consulting the web pages.

Speak to the facts, gentlemen, not to the avatar.

Seriously!!!! Who now has the attitude????? You really should do your homework before posting!

Here is the link to JRB's site http://www.jacksrbetter.com/, take a close look at the top of the page and you will find tabs (several of them) pointing to a ton of information not only about their products, but also other sites/gear manufactures (some cottage)!
Here is a link to HammockGear http://www.hammockgear.com/cart/inde...ain_page=index click on a product and you will find a great deal of information on the product, materials used, as well as reviews on the products!
Here is a link to Warbonnett http://warbonnetoutdoors.com/ at the top of the web page you will find tabs with a "LOT" of information and much more!

I could go on, but this is turning into a ridiculous round robin, of you making brash and crude comments on a Makers gear that are for the most part "FALSE" and misleading, all to stir the pot! I have no problem with you, just your posts, how many times are you going to attack people and makers before you get the hint???????????

Then lets not only throw in the fact of, "What gear reviews have you done on the makers products that you trash"???? Zero!
