Video: Finally Finished the Foothills Part 2

After hiking ~23 miles the day before and approaching the longest stretch without access except by boat or through Gorges State Park in NC, I head out into the day met by rain and cool weather for a day of lots of ups and downs. Part three should be up later.

Looks like a long day there, FIMB. Cold, wet, and tiring--the best kind of hike.

Your knees feeling any better now that you've had a couple of days without stress on 'em?

Yes, I always do my best to finish my goals. I do not like to leave things unfinished, except the exterior of furniture. The third video does show the end.

They are feeling a little bit better. My knees were rather swollen for a while. Swelling has gone down, but is not completely gone.

    Yuk... rain

But it's good to see you don't let it deter you. Liked the little salamander but getting out of your hammock that early in the woods... man that is dedication!

Hats off to you, now I am going on to watch part three, thanks for sharing.

Yeah, rain can be in the way. But my safety and comfort are not the most important things. I'm glad that it's not up to me to pick when it rains and when it doesn't. That's someone else's job. He does it better than I do.
