My four LAs came last night... Here is a shot I took with my phone. These things are tiny and very light. I opted for the Ti version... Hope to get out this weekend and use them. Tonight I was to weight them against my current setup.

They do look like a lot of fun. Someone put up some pics and let us know what you think.

Got my shipping notification yesterday though it will probably be a while before I can get out and actually play with them.

    New toys in hand!

Now I just need a cold front to provide me with some relief from the humidity and enough wind to keep the bugs at bay and I can get out there and go play.

In the mean time, I'll need to do some splicing!

I got a few titanium ones yesterday. Jury is still out. Haven't played with them much. It'll take a bit of convincing because I'm a big Dutchwear gadget fan.

I have the figure 9s (is that the right name?). The Ti version is slightly lighter and do not have the teeth that the 9s have. I am a fan of them so far. But I am curious on how they stand up against the Tarp flyz.

Yeah I don't know...it's tough to beat the Dutch Flyz. What I've found so far is that the Loop Aliens have more fiddle factor particularly when the line is under tension. For instance, I tried using on my over the top ridge line in place of the prussic loops. They are much more difficult to adjust than a prussic if the line is pulled tight. I have to play with them more yet.

Good idea but I thought the shipping cost was out of line.

I'm getting this impression as well. I made an adjustable loop I just put around my hand so I could put tension on the line and try and slide the thing around.

I'm hoping to use them on either end of my tarp so I can slide the whole works along my ridge line. I suspect in practice that will mean if I want to go to the right, I have to go to the left side first and adjust it left so there's some slack and then I go to the right side and take up the slack and hope I've ended up where I wanted to be.

With prusicks, there's still enough slip you can just tug slowly till it gets to where you want it and then stop. Maybe if rather than going around one of the smaller loops to cause tension, we come in through the medium and around the big one?

Yep, I know what you all mean......

They look great, I got 4 of the alu ones sent over to the uk!!!

At the moment I've got two of them on my tarp guy lines to give me an adjustable attachment point that doesn't rely on a nasty plastic slider but, as they say, "I need to experiment a bit more" to find a good solution......
