Excellent! Another great solution that is elegant in its simplicity!
We have another Knotty on the forums! (and that's a big compliment!)

Another good idea - to the injector cave!
Brilliant!!!!! My hammock stuff sack never gets used once my hammock is strung with your idea it gets double duty. Love it and just had some mitten hooks delivered, New project.

Thanks for the positive responses. I'm glad to be able to contribute something of value.
Now, try not sew your thumbs together
Or you could use a soft shackle to attach your RL and just use the grosgain loops. It would be a little more effort to put it on and off but its worth a shot if we are talking weight. (I always feel like the devil's advocate when talking about weight. Never want to be THAT guy)
That looks like a fun, impulsive DIY project to keep on the books for when the bug hits. I'll definitely have to make one soon!
That is a right goodie)))))
Candy stash for sure. Nice job.

I had my tarp stuff sack in my hand yesterday and thought it should become used for something while the tarp was out. . looks like you found the solution.!
i want a black one!!!
another solution to keeping the things in the bag (in addition to cinching a little more) is this: use either omnitape or velcro (which ever will work best) and make the one toward the end a little longer so the bottom hangs lower.
also, the omni tape could be used to a) attach the stuff sack (with hammock or tarp) to the outside of the pack or b) hold the suspension on the outside to keep the stuff inside clean when youre setting up
