Ewker, except for Saturday night, we usually walk into town and eat at the Smoky Mountain Diner for most meals, unless you'd rather eat at the campsite or another place. The diner is cheap, the food is good and plentiful and there's alway some kind of lively conversation going on. In as much as hiking is concerned, some folks take day hikes while we're there. I was talking to NC Patrick today and he said something about day hikes. I will have just finished my section from I-40 to Hot Springs, but I may consider a short day hike on Saturday as well, possibly.

Oh, sorry.....Saturday night is the hotdog cookout. It's free, just show up and eat. I'm sure you can get a couple folks to head out on a day hike with you, Ewker. As far as my hike goes, I'm looking forward to Max Patch, I'm planning on having dinner there and watching the sunset before going on to my campsite that night. I'll have to do some night hiking, but it shouldn't take long to get there and get set up. I'm rather looking forward to it.

Ok, that would have worked. Just in case, when are you leaving? I actually get off work Thursday @ 5AM, & don't NEED to be back till 5AM Tuesday.

I think somebody still has the leftover Blue Moon from last time. After all the hoopla, not a whole lot of Blue Moon was actually consumed.BTW, should we start a separate thread to see who's bringing the Blue Moon this time?
