Don't know if you had this problem but if you bend it a bit too much, don't try to straighten it ... that's when a couple of mine broke. They seem soft but don't take much bending in the opposite direction before the metal fails.

These are the stakes I started out with, and don't have any complaints overall. My dog managed to wrap around one with her tieout and bend one up, but other than that I haven't had a problem. I've got a few of these, a few shepherd's hook stakes, and a few Groundhogs - these and the shepherd's hooks are my "loaners."
I used to be a somebody, now I just camp.

    Re: Walmart GroundHog Knockoff

Yeah I have bent them... My scale showed 16 grams... But whose counting they work, I like the extra length in sandier soil Texas sometimes has..

I have both these and the MSR groundhogs. These are a little longer, and not quite as sturdy, but for only $3 for 4 of them, it is hard to beat. I keep a set for my "Spare" tarp.

started out with 8 of them.....all have been replaced with groundhogs, they just aren't as tough as the MSR's.......not as much $ either though

    $3 for set of 4.
I did bend one a little and another to about a 45* angle at FH3 in Jan. Just last night, I decided to straighten them. To my satisfaction, I did straighten them. Went very slow and it worked. The bad one still has damage, but at 0.75 cents, I don't mind it a bit.

I'm sure that it won't take another bend, but it seems strong enough for the short run.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

2.99 at academy sports. I use them. They are cheap. I have bent a few but they are cheap. I have lost a few but they are cheap. Pretty much disposable IMO. Cant beat the price.
