If I'm not mistaken the wax based pens/pencils work on this material. Looking good. Also you could do small hatch marks and not solid lines to keep the marks less visible so when you are pinning the material you have accurate points.

Looks great. I want to do one of these. I've ordered the materials but I'm having trouble picking a plan. What plans did you use?

I'm using the differential UQ calculator spreadsheet. I'll try to find the link.

Decision time today - to redo those two wonky baffles or to leave my imperfections alone and stitch the inner shell in. Anyone want to voice an opinion?

Thanks. I raided the Crayola drawer, and the white crayon marks on black argon just fine. It would probably be more accurate with an official marker because the point on the crayon is so soft, but progress is no longer blocked.

Leave the not-perfectly-straight baffles. You're the only one that will notice. Also, if you spend a few hours undoing the stitches, you run the risk of ripping the fabric.

I vote for either orange or plain black. Even thought this is "your" quilt, I have found that at some point I consider selling my DIY to fund future projects. Exotic trim may hinder or help your sale value.

I say go for the spiderweb or that other swirly pattern trim..Have fun with it. It will give it character and deserving of a name.
