MY GF's new IOWA Hawkeye Hammock/Tarp

I made this for my GF. She is a huge Hawkeye Fan, so I made her this for camping. I used DIY Whoopie slings out of 1/8" amsteel Blue, for the suspension and ridge line. I then used parachute cord, removed the inner lines, and made whoopie slings for her tarp tie downs. I ran out of parachute cord, so for todays pics I used a couple of ropes. The tarp is 8X10 and the hammock is double 1.9 ripstop for the 2 color setup she wanted, so it is a little heavier then my DIY ultra light setup for my bow hunting trips. I used Hawkeye grosgrain webbing I found at wallyworld for her hammock. I am waiting on some more 1/8" amsteel blue to arrive for my DIY hammock, that I also just completed, and I will post pics of it in a few days. I still have to complete a tarp for mine. This is a blast. I had never ran a sewing machine until a few weeks ago. Literally hours of reading on this site, taught me how to do it all. Thanks guys and gals!!

I really dig the color scheme. What are the dimensions? (Width, length, ridge line are the three that I'm most curious about)

    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, and yes, you don't go through all of this work for someone you don't love.

Awesome project...she'll definitely be able to find her camp with that color scheme!

Hey - does Hawkeye know she's a fan?
