    My new DIY underquilt

I finally finished my new UQ--I might have to sleep outside tonight. Forecast calls for a low temperature around 20 degrees.

Very nice looking and I like that color combo. Looks like ~4.5" of loft there.

Tonight will be perfect to test it out. I'm doing the same here. Should be upper 30's and a great test for my synth UQ while I smoke a turkey. mmmmm smoked turkey.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Nice UQ but it's the row of cabinets along the wall that caught my attention. I'd like to see photos of all those Singers and any time you want the treadled Necchi to have a new home, just let me know.

You make me feel a bit more normal having 5 cabinets in the living room.

    Very, very nice.

I would turn custody of the treadled Necchi over to someone who rescued and adopted a few other Necchis before I would send them to Indiana where they might have to compete for attention with Singers.

You make me feel better too: I only have 2 cabinets in my living room. ( Many more in the basement though as you have seen )
One is an old Singer treadle with a mod.66 with lotus flower decals. The other is a genuine Necchi treadle cabinet that my sweet wife drove to Atlanta to get for me. I put a pink BF Supernova in it. I'll put some pics of my machines up in the gallery later.

The treadled Necchi in the background is the machine I use the most. It's a BF Mira on an American base. I found the base at an estate sale and got it cheap since the top was all rotten from water damage. A friend who is an excellent woodworker reproduced the top using quartersawn oak salvaged from a 200 year old building. So, I think I'll keep that one. Gotta get outside now, take care.

Thanks for that: you made both of us laugh (had to share it with my wife)

Just out of view to the left of the quilt, is a Bu Supernova. It is set up with Ray Way thread to sew bar tacks in webbing. I have several Necchis scattered around the basement. I call that area " Pavia "

Hey! Stay out of this.....I promise I'd put it in the middle of my three other Necchis and keep it well protected from the Singers.

A 66 with the lotus flower decals in good condition is one of the few Singers that I would still like to get. Photos please.

.....and it really is a nice UQ.
