My 3 season Gear List - Any Suggestions?

I weighed my gear for the first time today so I could see what my base weight is. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I am at 12 lbs 8oz. I expected heavier, but the overachiever in me always wants better. I'd like to eventually get in the 10's. Are there any glaring outliers you can see, or is it all nitpicking from here? Thanks for any suggestions.

BackPack / Storage:
Golite Jam 70L, trash compactor bag liner - 34.20oz
Tyvek Food Bag, Gatoraid Bottle - 1.80oz

Clothing:
1pr socks, 1pr underwear, golite base shirt, polypro long underwear, buff, in ziplock bag - 18.50oz
Bandana - 1.10oz
Rain Poncho 10.60oz

Cook Kit:
Snow Peak 600, lid, DIY alcohol stove, mini bic, plastic cup, plastic spoon, foil windscreen - 7.10oz

Nothing glaring. Solid list. Opportunity for decreasing:
Darien UL - save about 7 ounces
Gossamer Gear or ULA pack - save about 7 ounces (depending on size)

Dude, thats a sweet setup. It is all nitpicking from here, btw.

Geez, if I had to pick something... I dunno, you sure you need ALL the ground stakes? 9 times out of 10, I wind up lashing at least a few of my tarp lines to a rock, a tree, something. And/or I am too **** lazy to bother setting all the lines out.

You could swap the WBBB out for a lighter weight hammock, but they are SO COMFORTABLE. (and the bugnet is mandatory March-December, at least here in the SE)

Only thing I don't see, is a listing of some kind of mid and outer layer and top cover - which is sometimes counted, and sometimes isnt. I am sure you have it, and for the purposes of this writeup would imagine it doesnt count toward the weight. With a 70L pack, you certainly have PLENTY of room to toss a midlayer and outer shell.

Thanks. You're right, I typically wear a fleece pullover or a golite softshell in early spring and fall, and it will sometimes find its way in my pack if I get warm while hiking. I would not have this in summer though.

I do have a 50L Jam that I can use in the summer when I have the least amount of gear, so that will save me a few ounces. Plus I probably wont use the tarp doors in the summer, so that will be 4 stakes I can leave at home.

Solid list. That is about the weight I'm at as well, though I need to weigh my stuff since I've added a few things.

Couple things to noodle on.. though I understand why you might keep what you have
Ditch the shovel, use a stake
Ditch a couple stakes, use sticks, or get a couple Ti stakes.. the BB entrance/shelf doesn't need bomb proof stakes IMO
Dutch clips instead of biners
Keep either the buff or bandanna
Mora light my fire - i get it, but matches would be lighter as a backup to the mini bic
Longer tree strap/xtra biner - what are these for?
How about your tarp suspension?

I could probably ditch the shovel.
I've been thinking about swapping a couple stakes for chopsticks. Maybe I'll take one with me next trip and see how it does.
I'll check into the dutch clips and see what the weight savings is.
The Mora's first job is my knife. It has 2 uses since it backs up my mini bic. I could see if there is a weight benefit if I switch to a lighter knife and matches instead.
The extra strap is a longer strap than what I carry for the hammock so if I run into a situation where I want to hang from a tree that is too big around for my small strap, I can still hang there. Or I sometimes use it to hang my pack from a tree, to discourage rodents from finding their way into my pack at night.
Tarp suspension is pretty light. Dutch Stingers on zing-ti, Spectra cord with mini locks guy-outs, 1/16 shock cord on the doors.

You are welcome. Losing the pounds was the easy part, right? Ounces - not nearly as easy.
Our lists are pretty similar (well, I don't have a cuben fiber tarp!)... a few other differences.. those these really start getting into personal preferences
I carry 2 pairs of (thin) socks vs. 1
GoLite running shorts instead of underwear
AquaMira instead of a filter
Razer blade instead of a knife
TP (only)
No ground cloth

Which knife are you carrying? I think I must have missed that somewhere. Or did you mean a Mora, and a LMF firesteel?

As one who goes as light as possible, but still hauls a Fallkniven F1 and (sometimes) a SvenSaw, I am appreciative of any and all knife selections. Even the ones that are razor blades...

Yeah, getting down lower gets really expensive too.

Another thought, I put the biner end of the tree strap through the looped end, so I wouldnt need dutch clips, but I could switch to light toggles instead of the biners and probably shave a couple ounces.
