    VIDEO: Tecumseh Trail Thru Hike

Here's a video report of my Tecumseh Trail hike this week. I got it done in three days. I wish I could have gotten more video, but I was on a pretty tight deadline to catch my ride back to the car on the third day. On the second day, I ended up hiking around 18 miles, and was pretty wiped by the end. And then on the third day, rain and cold weather set in, so we stepped up the pace quite a bit.

I'll do a separate video where I go through my gear for the trip and talk about what I liked or didn't, used or didn't, etc.

    Great Video

My "vista" are similar to yours, but it's nice to see the changing leaves. Sorry you didn't have better weather. Looks like a great place to hike.

Looking forward to the gear video.

Enjoyed your hike and video. Nice color you have there and the pup looks like a great hiking partner. Nothing worse then hiking on a bad wheel hope it's healing for ya..

Yeah, the knee's not too bad. I think it was more due to being out of shape than anything else. The Tecumseh's not a very strenuous hike, so this was a good trail to break in the legs over some longer distance.

Looks like a great trek with a fine looking beast! Thanks for sharing that. And with a name like SaabZombee ... you got the perfect hat! Referencing "Zombieland" of course!

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

Enjoyedyour video! The vistas may have been lacking but the foliage colors made up for it!
What kind of packs do you have for your dog? I'm looking for some for my dog & liked the orange color.

Oh, I think the doggy really, REALLY wants to go! lol Yeah, walking along roads is no fun. The lake was nice, and you set yourself up pretty good at the camp site! The downed tree didn’t look too safe. I like the orange and yellow leaves, very colorful! Yes, very nice, SaabZombee, thanks for the video!

Dingo has the REI Ultra Dog Pack (http://www.rei.com/product/832677/rei-ultra-dog-pack). I got it on clearance for about $30, perhaps because that color wasn't very popular (pshh). If you do decide to go with this option, know that the sizing tends to run large. Dingo is about 44 lbs and wears the small with the straps tightened up quite a bit.

I went with the pack because (1) the construction seemed to be top notch, and (2) REI has a 100% satisfaction guarantee on anything they sell. This is particularly important when buying a dog pack, because dogs will abuse the hell out of anything they're wearing. I wanted to buy a product that the manufacturer would stand behind, no matter what. Another good option for dog packs is Ruffwear. The equivalent line is the Palisades pack (http://www.ruffwear.com/Palisades-Pack_2).
