I’d like to come
Joined HF to learn what I could about hammocks but haven’t checked out the gear in person yet. Like to see and hear about some of your setups.
Most likely come by myself and sleep on the ground.
As always, Will

Confirmed; GI-JOE is a GO.....
Also will bring others in my Squad. (IE) my 11year old son....
I'll confirm my attendance tonight with the boss (a.k.a. wife). I will most likely be spending the evening on the ground since my hammock hasn't been geared for the 4th season yet.
Since this is car camping, I will be bringing my DIY hammock setup along with the DIY summer top quilt. I might be bringing my kids (7 and 14) if that's ok.
I'm stoked to see so much interest! I really expected this to end up being Chetter72, a couple of people and I. Who knew?
I don't see a problem with bringing along kids. Especially since we will be occupying a few different campsites. Car camping tends to lead to (at least) a fair share of oat sodas being consumed and distinct sites will help out with making sure the kids aren't adversly affected.
I was up there last weekend and it was warm during the day and got down to about 35 at night. We stayed up until 1, burned through 4 bundles of wood (2 hard and two soft) and had enough for breakfast the next day. I would think people that stay up late will need around 5-6 bundles of soft wood (like most of what you buy at the store).
The site only allows two vehicles per site, so anybody that wants to carpool would be helping us all out. If people want to meet at my place on Saturday morning and leave vehicles there to carpool, that would be fine with me. I live in Lake Elsinore in a safe neighborhood (at the bottom of the hill where the campsite is).
As I mentioned earlier, I was trying to think of some good activities. SoCal Mike suggested bringing our cool camp gear regardless of if it is hammock related or not. Boots is going to bring some Amsteel and (hopefully) help out hose of us that are splicing challenged.
I was thinking it might be fun to have some contests where we vote. This may be stupid, but I thought it might be fun.
I was thinking the following:
Best DIY Item (The Ron Swanson)
Cleanest (least sloppy) Rig (OCD 123 123 123 Award)
Tastiest Chow at the potluck (The Chuckwagon)
Best inventive use for a cottage industry item (Occupy Blue Jay Award)
Least Metal Award (The Charles Xavier)
