Friday: Savage Day Loop @ 2.2 mi to North Rim Trail; "a long but easy trail with more overlooks than any other at Savage Gulf"-- @ 6.3 mi. to Hobbs Cabin Campsite {8.5 mi}

Saturday: Connector Trail; "the most challenging and strenuous trail in the Savage Gulf Natural Area"-- @ 3.1 mi to Stagecoach Road Historic Trail @ 1.6 mi to South Rim Trail @ 1 mi to Stage Road Camp {5.7 mi}

Sunday: South Rim Trail "easy plateau top trail" @ 4.8 mi to Savage Day Loop @ > 2 mi and back to the Ranger Station {~6.8 mi} and off to the Chinese Buffet.

i will be there thursday and i will have a 2 burner stove i can help cook breakfast on friday morning. i will bring some eggs or whatever is need for breakfast.

So first day is longest but easy.
Saturday is shortest but hardest.
Last day shortest and easiest and if memory serves a beautiful plunging waterfall pool near the end for a group photo op (wearing Hadrons/or not).

In the interest of scouting I am sitting at Ming's right now.

3 hot lines, 3 cold lines, a Mongolian BBQ, ice cream (scoop not soft serve) and some sushi being made by the BBQ guy...

In light of the outstanding attendance you are expecting and the comments of the ranger, I will be taking the opposite track. So there will be plenty of space at the campsites, because I have a client with me, I don't want to risk not having a spot or enough trees. Maybe we will see you on the trail Saturday.

Saturday Stone Door & back to sawmill
Sunday Hobb's
Monday hike out

We are in the extended forecast window for the beginning of the trip. Of course it will change 15 times, but as of today: Thursday 3/7 will be 44/24 F and cloudy!
