Its the same old debate. On one side the people stand up for cottage folks poor quality control due to their small operation while praising their "superior quality." On the other side people expect and demand a high level of quality from the cottage folks, and any less is disappointing. Where our cottage vendors shine is in their making good on their mistakes. I had a problem with an order from HG a while ago and they were very willing to fix it and even shipped the replacement overnight before I returned the quilt they sent me by mistake. They are good people and will work it out with you. I still won't give any slack in saying poor quality control due to high order volume is acceptable. Its not. I will still order from them because I know in the end I'll get what I want, a high quality innovative niche product.

I'm really surprised they would've forgotten the drawstring on the Incubator. And your experience is completely opposite what I've experienced in my dealings with Adam and Jenny. Hope things get worked out.
Oh... I thought this was from a BF order. My mistake. Although unfortunate that damage is understandable.

Yeah, that's why I wanted to clarify that it wasn't because the product was rushed.

As much as I agree with you that its unacceptable to put out shotty work period. I would again attempt to contact Adam by phone, and see what he is willing to do. They took care of their mistake and then some when I had a problem, I cant see them not take care of it for you too.

I've found many postal workers running the counters here at Canada Post to be slightly...un-helpful (can't speak for USPS). Then again, they're not mind-readers and you can't expect them to know what/why you are mailing something--they can only help you if you explain the situation. But even when one worker "helped" my parents mail me my spare set of glasses (in England), the form was not filled out properly and I got slammed for tax. A skilled postal worker could have taken one look at the form and known I'd have to pay duty/tax. The hassle of recouping the tax (and just finding the proper forms to fill out) was a nightmare. Most companies will tell you to mark something as an exchange or return for warranty, etc. and will return it to you as such to avoid the double taxation. Again, there are forms to fill out to claim the tax back, but it's a hassle if it's not done right the first time.
