I don't know if you'll see this in time or if you went last weekend but Big Basin says no hammocks on its website.
Anyone done a hang at point reyes recently? I am thinking of heading out there in April and wanted some opinions on possible sites to reserve and if the ones listed a few years ago in this forum are still good choices?
Thanks!

Lori's right about Pt Reyes.
Big Basin is hammockable, Pt Reyes not. Wildcat and Haypress in GGNRA are doable and gorgeous but not ideal. China Camp okay but limited. Muir Woods, Samuel Taylor no-goes. Angel Island - don't even think about it. Stealth camping opportunities abound in Marin though not a lot of great spots for us to hold a hang. Lake Sonoma is great but be sure you have a bugnet year round (they have a lot of boat-in only sites which is special, but steep and leafy). The Russian River is fantastic but its a sin to hang off a redwood (dont let me catch you!) The north west parts of Sonoma County are fantastic but be sure to know where you are (lots if boar and gun clubs). Something like 30% of the Bay Area is parks or preserves or unbuildable so we should be able to find something.
Thanks Steve. I am considering going out to Pine Valley in Ventana Wilderness. Maybe a group hang if anyone is interested once I get the dates.
