Since I just started hammocking this year (Thanks all!) I'd have to say:
1- ALL my hammock gear, and all of it was bought here. Either off the classifieds or thru sponsoring vendors.
2- Osprey Exos 46. I REALLY like this pack.
3- Good clothing. I started buying better clothes this year. I can't believe what a difference GOOD clothing, socks, jackets, raingear, head gear, etc makes.
It's only an addiction if your trying to quit
1. ULA Circuit pack
2. Kelly Kettle
3. Hangnout daughter's 2/3 summer UQ

Without a doubt..........
1- My wife. (cause she continues to understand my time consuming HF and gear addiction.......and to kiss up some more cause I'm waiting for my new ULA to arrive.)
2- My Warbonnet BB.
3- My Arrowhead BBO Top Cover
And Christmas is coming....and Santa has my list for more gear!!!!!!

Knowledge is key to successful hiking and camping. By far the best piece of equipment is this forum. OG beat me to it, but that was my first thought for '09 equip. And the understanding wife, soundwitness beat me that one, too. Learning all the diy tricks is addictive and fun.
All the great folks here, are up high on the list, too.

Ambulo tua ambulo.
I'd add the MacCat Standard on there, but it's not technically '09 b/c I've had it for several years now. I don't need no stinkin' doors!
The other stuff I listed I got from Dec 08 and later.

Hammock: WBBB Double 1.7
Tarp: Super Fly
hmmm . . . . just 3 ?
1) WBBB Double 1.7 . . . no brainer
2) Superfly. . . my girls just love the "floating tent"
3) 3 Season Yeti w/ reflective liner . . . been toasty so far.
Since getting into this hammock kick, my tent has been feeling a bit lonely. I think it may try to audition for a commercial just like the mop did .
