I know we gave talked about it before but a search turns up empty. Does anyone know it or can point me to it. Thanks Gunn __________________ Rivers know this: there is no hurry. I measure the material by the inch to keep it as accurate as possible when trying to find the weight per square yard. One square yard is 1296". (Width" X Length")/1296"=total Square Yards Total Weight/Total Square Yards= Weight per square yard Last edited by hangnout; 04-18-2008 at 07:43..

What I remember is how to derive the stuff the I need. To compute the square yardage of a piece, given width and length, on a calculator I would 1. enter width (in inches) 2. hit * key 3. enter length (in inches) 4. hit / (divides) key 5. enter 36 6. hit / key 7. enter 36 8. hit = key Since I know there are geeks out there who use postfix notation (a.k.a. reverse Polish) and will chime in if I don't ( ) if I had such a calculator sequence would be width length 36 36 * / * It's kinda like German, you wait until the end of the sentence before popping in the verbs...
