Any help with the questions below will be greatly appreciated. 1) Is it fair to assume that the person who uses a bridge hammock should have their waste near the middle of the parabolic (catenary) curve of the suspension? 2) A deeper curve will cause the hammock to be ???what??? compared to a shallower curve. 3) Is there a ratio between fabric width and spreader bar width that should be abided by? What happens to the characteristics of the hammock when this ratio is changed? 4) What is the downside to making a bridge hammock wider than say the 54 inches the Grizz uses in the Grizzbridge? 5) If the head end spreader bar is moved 12 inches closer to the foot end so that the bar is closer to the persons shoulders, how should the curve be situated? Should it be centered from spreader bar to spreader bar or should it go beyond the head end spreader bar to keep the midpoint of the curve in the same position on the hammock as it would be if the spreader bar was in the normal position? 6) Finally when hanging a gathered end hammock the angle is supposed to be about 30 degrees. Does the same thinking apply to the bridge hammock? Thanks again to those willing to help.

"Near" is close enough. That is not important. You'd have to be doubled over to get your waist very far from the center of the hammock.

Well a very deep curve results in a narrow middle, and wide ends. At the head end, width is all about shoulder squeeze. At the middle, width is about how likely your top quilt is going to spill out. A narrow middle will let your covers pour out onto the ground.

Yes. The angle of the suspension lines should be the same as a gathered-end hammock.
