Here is a quick walk through the dome...we hung another hammock after the video was shot. Its not a great video but it gives a little better idea of the space inside. There was so much room inside

The cover was temporary until we make our custom one. We have 2 Canadian flags that are 15' x 30' Yes 15x30 feet. The dome has a circumference of 66' so the two flags didn't quite cover it. The flags hadn't been waterproofed yet and leaked, so we installed blue tarps between the frame and the flags. It had the COOL effect but not quite what we wanted.
This weekend we are building our custom cover made out of blue tarps. The top of the dome is a pentagon and has 5 pentagons around it. We are cutting the tarps into pentagons with a 2" overlap so we can industrial glue them together. Between the pentagons is another triangle forming hexagons. These we will install clear plastic panels to form windows. We are modifying a door in one of the pentagons to give us a larger entrance with a door with flap. Pics of the dome with cover to follow.
We need this finished for May 5 weekend when we will be putting in a safety station at the Eco challenge.
That is such a cool project. I know your scouts enjoyed making it, and take pride in knowing it was a team effort, and they were a part of something amazing. They did an outstanding job.

Wow! That is awesome! They are some lucky young men to have you for their leader. Great job, you all should be pleased and proud of that thing!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.
