Hello all! Through my readings I got some good information on ix under quilts seems they are light, cheap, and fairly packable and provide good insulation but act as somewhat of a vapour barrier. So here's my question I looked at the 5 in 1 by Molly Mac and it seems to be able to be user as a ground pad
as well. Are all the ix under quilts able to be used as a ground tarp? Seems like this could prevent gear residency for me as I am looking at bringing a ground tarp anyways for nights I can't hang in trees and need to use the hammock as a bivi. Is the stuff waterproof?
Anyone have experience with this and opinions? Also do I seem on the right track with the Ix? If this does work would I also need a thermorest sleeping pad?
