    CA>NorCal>Boggs Mt.>Hangout May 10-12

    Return to Boggs!
Boggs Mountain State Demonstration Forest, in Lake County, not too far from Clear Lake.

This is a drive up and dump your stuff kind of event.

I have reserved Ridge group camp for the nights of Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11. We would be leaving on Sunday.

I know this is Mother's Day weekend, but surely you can come out on Friday anyway.

Ridge campsite has a pit toilet and most important, lots of lovely pines with little underbrush. Made for hammocks.
    And a fire pit.
We must bring in all the water we'll want.

    Count Me In

Count Me In! Our 2nd Annual Boggs Hang.

This site really does have it all. Drive in, unload, tables and best of all, lots of great hanging trees. It has a large fire pit and dogs are welcome. (They do have a leash law, so keep that in mind)

There's a variety of hiking trails from easy to kick your butt from the Ridge Campsite.

A 20 minute drive & you're at Harbin Hot Springs. You can get a 6 hr pass for $30.00. (I need to check on the prices.)

Take a look at the 1st Boggs Hang here. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ighlight=Boggs

Let me know if I can help as I live in the area.

Hello from Truckee. I'm still working on my first hang. If I get my act together, I may shoot down the hill for this event.

This is a great place for a 1st hang. You can bring a ton of gear to test out. If you have to bail, your vehicle is close by, or there is always someone who can lean a hand to show you how to work a piece of gear. Hope you can make it.

Boggs is a blast. I live 15mins, so I feel guilty. It's one of the best little secrets around this area. I've been going there for 6 yrs, and I'm amazed how few people know about it. I've done thousands of miles of hiking, and the trails at Boggs offer a great variety if you want to do some hiking, or even bring your mountain bike.

Hope you can make it. Feel free to ask if you have any questions as well.
