    I wish

My DW said "no" because we would then not be using the same bed. I explained that I would still be within arm's reach of her, but she sees it as separate beds.

    @RR

I need to make the switch. Still trying to figure out the best way. No room for a typical stand, and I don't trust the walls, so I'm not trying to anchor to them. I have a few ideas, but still thinking of the best way......RR

I was intending to use a Dejoha inverted T, pipe stand because it is free standing with no wall or ceiling attachments. I think I can offset the two ends (slight diagonal alignment), in order to increase the distance between them.
Not l-------l but /--------/ with the ends flush with the wall. Might be necessary to have longer base pipes if using the slight diagonal layout.

Painting the pipes and the plywood floor protectors would improve the appearance some.

When winter camping, I can lay in my hammock for 12-14 hours (16 hours one time in a snow storm) with no discomfort. Try that on a pad in a tent.

You were the inspiration, Lamar, and I cannot thank you enough.

Are y'all on the road yet, or still at the homestead? Wondering yesterday - how do you sleep when you travel with your camper?

The TurtleDog stand will make the trip just in case there are no trees. We will have both of the granddaughters with us for 6 weeks and will be heading out as soon as they are out of school. Today and tomorrow having the truck readied. Then new tires and a wash job on the RV. RV has been setting in the same spot for 2 years and don't trust the tires. Got to get directtv reinstalled, can't miss Spongebob or Nascar. Looking forward to getting back to Maine again, Lobsters, making Blackberry jelly, getting tired of Lobsters and switching over to clams and this year hopefully meeting up with some of my New England Family.

Be assured that I will be in a hammock every night.

Vaya con Dios, my friend! I just spent night #2 of my first 365 consecutive nights in a hammock. Got several hours of that deep, restorative sleep we all seek. Not so much the first night, but its the same the first night on the trail for me. I AM a happy camper this morning!!!!

This winter I have been sleeping outside full time in my Traveler hammock (7 months). But the last 7 days I have been sleeping in a bed in my new home. Even though a bed is nice, I seem to prefer a hammock for a odd reason. Being of the male sex I have noticed some beginning difficulties when it comes to letting out water from my bladder during the night. When in a hammock I generally only have to get up twice during the night, whereas when sleeping in a bed it can be all from 3 to 10 times.

Apart from the above reason, comfort in a hammock is superior.

    Best,
    Blaze

My wife works nights so I sleep 4-5 nights a week in a hammock. I normally sleep in my living room because I like to wake up and watch the news from the hammy. I use eyebolts in the walls and i have never had any isssues with them.

My Words of wisdom, "Just do it"

I converted completely early last year I haven't looked back since. I did regret it only once when i had a very bad stomach flu. Every time I lay in the hammock I would get nauseous.

Other than that I have enjoyed excellent sleep. I sleep in my own home made 11" hammock, I am looking at getting a bridge hammock in the no so distant future.

Plus my best friends little boy Just requested a hammock for his Birthday. So it looks like I am making a stand + hammock for them.
