We camped out just outside the entrance to Wisemans View, Hiked up to and down Babel Tower and then caught the Linville Gorge trail. 1 scout w/ a sprained ankle and one scout had to hike out sans 1 shoe because he donated it to the Linville River. It's amazing how laurel leaves and the sleaves off of you shirt make a very comfortable shoe. He even said it was more comfortable than the foot with the remaining shoe. Who knew? -

Thats the age when they think more of "campfires and burnt marshmellows" and before they reach the "perfume and gasoline" age.
