Description for Boy Scout Troop 426 Tumc Visits Linville Gorge
Description by Runswithsissors
Over half the scouts have converted to hammock camping. If I can get the adults to switch that would be great, but every hammock I have made for a leader has been confiscated by his/her boyscout for their personal use.
Re: Boy Scout Troop 426 Tumc Visits Linville Gorge We camped out just outside the entrance to Wisemans View, Hiked up to and down Babel Tower and then caught the Linville Gorge trail. 1 scout w/ a sprained ankle and one scout had to hike out sans 1 shoe because he donated it to the Linville River. It's amazing how laurel leaves and the sleaves off of you shirt make a very comfortable shoe. He even said it was more comfortable than the foot with the remaining shoe. Who knew?
