    PVC Ridgeline

Just wanted to post some pics of our homemade tarp support to use with our hammock stands in a campground where you can’t set up in the trees. It’s made out of furniture grade PVC from FORMUFIT: http://www.formufit.com/

It’s a PVC ridgeline with a center support. The end support feet are 18 inches each side; the center support feet are 12 inches wide. Height and length can be whatever works best for your setup.

autolox, this is the link to the one I used: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ammock%20stand

I'm sure there has been updates since we did ours. For the legs, however we used 1x2 furring strips, 2 for each leg. We did that because we couldn't find any straight 2x2's. We used nuts, bolts, washers, and an eye bolt to fasten each leg together. They're hard to make oout in the picture, but there located where the camo tape is. The lowest is then eye bolt. We stained the furring strips before we fastened them together.

autolox, Samsara's guide is what we used we used mostly because at the time I believe it was the most recent and had some good pics:
    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ammock%20stand

The legs are cut to 6.5 feet to fit in the back our our F250. The 1x2's weren't pressure treated, so we stained them using Min Wax. Other than that we pretty much followed the post by Samsara.

Sorry I can't be more help. Originally, I wrote down a materials list, but that ended up with so many changes that I ignored it.

One more thing... we attached a small, Home Depot shackle in the gate hinge to hang a loop of Amsteel blue 7/64 from which, in turn, to suspend the metal bars (the fence top rails) from the stands. We used a Clamcleat, rather than a knot with the Amsteel, to make the height adjustable. We used a double half hitch around the line to help insure the line was help fast in the Clamcleat.
