Adversity in our lives can tear us down, but at the same time build us up. What we do with it and how we handle it will determine the new man you will become out of it. God is redirecting your life, and I pray it is a much better and happier life.
I have truly enjoyed your posts and all the knowledge you have to offer. While you may not be able to hang for a while until you heal, we welcome any input you can offer to this forum. This is a wonderful forum, and it is due to great folks like you.

Dear Cranky Yoda,

I'm so sorry about all of this. You deserve better and it will get better. Give it time and take it slow. Concentrate on the little wonders of the world with gratitude and spend time with people who care about you and understand hard times . . . online or off.

Hopefully with physical therapy your back will get better over time. If it doesn't you make adjustments. We were out rail trail bike riding this week when an older couple came cycling by. The man had only one leg but he had a bike that you pedal with your arms. He gave us the biggest smile when he rode by and so did his wife. I saw them and I said to myself, "We should all have that attitude."
