Turtle dog stand and your weight.

Looking to build one very soon, but I am a part guy. 315 lbs. so my question is did you use 2x2s or 2x4s and how much do you weight. Thanks.

Each stand only has to support 1/2 your weight as the side-side / lateral forces are held by the center pipe. So, 160lbs should still be just fine w/ 2x2's. The three 2x2's in a pyramid structure are very strong.

Also depend on how wide you splay the legs. Very upright, it will hold a lot more weight than when splayed wide, but will be less stable.
Mine are 3x2", overkill I guess, but it's what I had lying about. But it does a good job tandem hanging, and I have no qualms about using it for multiple top bars (wacky config group hangs).
