    Full timing in a tablecloth

We made 4 tablecloth hammocks today to replace our beds. The more we have been sleeping in our camping hammocks the less comfortable sleeping in our beds seem. Everyone seems to like the hammocks.... dogs, cats, kids, and husband. It is larger than our Skeeter Beeter Pro and feels more comfortable.

Love my tablecloth hammocks. Lately, I've noticed that I am starting to feel pains when I wake up in bed. I am thinking about seeing if I had hang my hammock in the bedroom. We have a king size bed and sleep on the edge. I always say my hubby doesn't even know I'm there because there so much room between us. Wondering if I can just hang it right over my side of the bed. Might be interesting getting in and out of the hammock as I'm a short bug.

Just about 2.5 years in a hammock for me now on the 18th the last year and a half in a tablecloth. I go on vacation next month. The hotel says my Turtledog stand is fine with them and we booked a room that has space for it so I'll be able to sleep there.

Beds leave me with sore shoulders and a stiff back.

Junebug, I bet that would work out great, give it a shot and see if you sleep better.

We had our Skeeter Beeters set up on the porch for fun and ended up sleeping in them almost every night when it was cooler. Now that is is muggy and mosquitos are terrible we had to return to our beds in the ac. It made us wonder how beds ever caught on like they did when hammocks are so much more comfortable!

    MrClean,
Cool that you have been full timing so long. We need to make Turtledog stands. That is on the DIY list. We want to be able to camp on the beach and those would be perfect.

I put pictures of our new 'beds' in my gallery, I love the set-up. The cat isn't much interested yet, not cold enough, I guess...but Duffy is much better rested, and my hip and shoulder are MUCH happier, now that we are hammock-crazy, fulltime.

    Almost 9 yrs Full Time

It's been almost 9 years full time for me. Last year I had full knee replacement surgery. I had to sleep in a hospital bed for several months. Worst sleep I had in years. Even all the drugs didn't make it any better.

Durangoz - It's cool to see how so many in your family have taken to hammocks. I've been full time for a few years now.

MightyMouse - Nice job on making those "shelves" to spread the load out across multiple studs and still have the wall attachment look attractive.

I know the odd reactions I've gotten calling campgrounds and inquiring about hammock hanging, what's it like to call a hotel and ask about it?
