Newbee Question, Can you use an UQ and an inflateable pad?

I am new to all this. So please have patience. I only have used my hammock once. I used a wide Thermarest pad. I like the structure it added to the hammock. My only issue was the sides got CBS. I realize an UQ is designed to handle this. I have a thinner Thermarest 3/4 length and was wondering if you can combine the two types of insulation? I have a double layer hammock and did not have any condensation inside my hammock other than my mouth vapor last night.

    Thanks Larry

For kicks sometimes I'll drop a small closed cell pad under my back, even with an under quilt, just as a safety measure. Works good for me.
