    What is warmer? Quick poll!

The question is not what you prefer, what what is warmer.... I listed weight, as I think its a factor in the R-Value of insulation.

Application: Backup for winter hang- Over / Under / or Campfire

Wool if you don't mind the weight is far, IMO, warmer than my PL is. And yes, I have and use both.

Wool blanket. It also maintains its insulating properties when it gets wet unlike the woobie. But I would neverbackpack with one and love my woobie.

Wool blanket hands down. I do however travel with my woobie often and many a night I've crashed at a friends using it and my sleeping back liner that are often in my car. The combo also works very well for ground camping in the warm Texas summers.

    Wool. No contest.
