    Underquilt for sale

    IMG_0069.jpg

Got carried away and won an auction for too many down comforters so I'm hoping to sell a few underquilts to help cover the cost. I'm not a professional so the stitching isn't perfect, but looks pretty good and definitely is built to last. 10 - 2.25" baffles, differential cut, 65" long/ 50 wide. Total weight without suspension = approx 24oz
1.1 calendared ripstop/.9 noseeum baffles/600 fill down from new unused comforters
Should be good to 30 degrees
$130 includes shipping in USPS flat rate box.

Then I have 3. Actually the yellow, olive & blue one's are the only ones stuffed with downy goodness and ready go, so those are for sale.

If you sold the blue someplace other than Hammock Forums, that is fine but if you sold it here:

    From the guidelines:

    10. Buyers must always post an "I'll Take It" in the thread where the sale is advertised. This creates a public record of the intent, and officially claims the item. Posts *always* over-ride PM inquiries when there is a debate. In the case that there are multiple claims, the first "I'll take it" in the thread gets the first right of refusal.

    11. "I'll take it" is the only acceptable term for getting the first chance to purchase an item. Terms like "I'll take it pending PM", or "I'll take it, but with questions" do not reserve you the first right of refusal.

    From the Q&A
17)Q: Who is responsible for ensuring the "I'll take it" in the FS thread

A: The purchaser is responsible for posting but the seller has ultimate responsibility for not selling the item to a member of HF until the "I'll take it." is posted in the thread. The seller should always check the thread to be sure the seller has properly claimed the item just in case the claim is not made or another member has a previous claim.

Are there darts and/or end channels for gathered end fitment?

Each baffle is wider on the outside so it will form around the hammock very nicely & the 1.1 ripstop is quite soft so it gathers nicely on the ends without darts. All I have are gathered end hammocks and have been using this design without draft issues. Once the shock cord is pulled snug its almost like a draft collar as the material comes together. The best advice it to make it snug but not tight as making it too tight can cause as many gaps as having it too loose.

Is the olive one considered a full length quilt and rated for 30°?

At 65" the length would be considered somewhere between a 3/4 length and full. I'm 6'1" and this is the length that works great for me. If it's getting really cold I throw a piece of foam under my feet, but usually they are in the footbox of a sleeping bag or top quilt and there isn't much compression going on so I stay very comfortable. I just ran the build calculator that Catsplat made and it's saying 18 degrees which I think would be pushing it. For me I'd looking at adding insulation before I took it too far under 30 degrees.
