Beautiful country! Thanks for sharing, please post your next trip(s). With pics. I don't post much, but on behalf of us lurkers: Thank you. I love the trip reports, it's always cool to see what other people are up to and a great way to learn what works (and what doesn't) for others.
Happy hiking or er canoeing!
ps: hmmm firefox tells me canoeing is wrong, weird.
Thanks for sharing. Wonderful pictures. Makes me dream.
Have added this canoe to my wish list.

That looked like a great time to just get away and relax. I'd love to do that. Maybe soon I will. Thanks for sharing.
As far as the spacing between trees goes, Running Feather taught me a neat trick. Take your trekking poles, and hold them outstretched between the trees and that usually works out to be enough distance for a good hang.
Of course, I'm 6'3" and have long arms, but it's a pretty good gauge for me.

I love your tarp setup. What tarp is that? I also have the Expedition side zip and really like it.

That is a wonderful spot ..... and I drove through or close-by Kitchener last month!!!!!

Love the photos. Sorry about the rain, but it does offer an element of challenge to the experience. I have developed an interest in canoe/kayak camping recently. I can't decide which. I understand your dilemma of site choice. Just went through selecting different sites for 5 consecutive nights. It's not as easy as it is at home. They all seem unique and require considerable adjustments in the rigging
WONDERFUL trip! And if the fishing was good, too, even better!
Combining hiking and/pr paddling and fishing with a hammock is heaven! I hope to do a bit of both next weekend at our Vermont hang. The pond we are camping by supposedly has a robust Smallmouth Bass and Pike population, which will make for some good dinners!
Thanks for the trip report and pics! Awesome! (What tarp was that again?)
